What are minerals?

Minerals make up our body and keep each one of the body’s system and organs working in sync. When minerals are not present things go awry…

Minerals are the electrolytes in our body that maintain bodily functions and gives us a healthy mind and body. They also give our bones and tendons enough density and strength to support our weight and enables our brain to function as it should.

Think of minerals as the battery to your body, as the battery is to your car. With out that battery in your car, it is not going to start or turn over the starter. Well, same thing with your body with one slight difference. That difference is that your body can function on partial battery for a longer time, where the car will not…

Mineral deficiency taxes your body and ends up disabling different systems and organs. Over time when mineral depletion is prolonged, more symptoms appear such as:

  • exaggerated tiredness (chronic fatigue syndrome)
  • headaches (migraine, tension)
  • dry skin

Oxidants and Antioxidants

What exactly is oxidation?

To explain this let’s use a typical oxidation process. You have seen oxidation of metals. Iron gets rusty, aluminum gets a white film, copper turns green. That’s what happens when elements such as air and water exert their forces.

The same thing happens in our bodies. Just by breathing you are creating oxidants. Oxidants are also known as “free radicals”.

A free radical is an atom or group of atoms that has at least
one unpaired electron, which means it’s highly unstable and highly reactive.

How do free radicals cause damage?

Free radicals destroy tissue in search of electrons. They damage tissue by “stealing” electrons from your body’s cells.

Mother Nature knew this would happen, so foods high in antioxidants became abundantly available.

Where are antioxidants and how do you find them?

Fresh, raw, naturally matured and ripened fruit and vegetables are where antioxidants are found. Unfortunately, in the last century modern farming methods have degraded the natural “chemo-preventive” properties of fruits and vegetables. Unfortunately, also, modern food processing methods have managed to strip out all the health benefits of most of our foods.

Our hectic, busy lifestyles are also doing us in. Not eating fresh, raw, naturally matured and ripened fruits and vegetables is causing premature aging, chronic health problems, and even terrible conditions such as cancer. It’s so much easier to pull a box out of the cupboard and create an instant meal – totally devoid of any healthy content, than it is to take the time to prepare healthy natural meals.

Boost Your Immune System

What Are Prebiotics and Probiotics?

Prebiotics are food substances which promote the growth of certain bacteria (generally beneficial) in the intestines.

Probiotic bacterial cultures are intended to assist the body’s naturally occurring flora within the digestive tract to reestablish themselves.

The word “probiotic” is a modern term which means just the opposite of “anti-biotic” or “anti-microbial”, which mean toxic or death. The term anti-biotic represents the typical, failed philosophy of modern science, being that; if you “kill disease”, health will remain. Continue Reading »

Pharmaceutical Industry Overview

Drug Companies Do Not Care About Your Health

doctor's stethoscope

They care about making a profit. They will blatantly lie to get you to buy their drugs so they can make that profit. They get away with it because the punishment for doing so is usually little more than a slap on the wrist.

The drug companies claim that they need large earnings $125,835,595,000 in 1999 to conduct their research and development.

Let’s Look At The Facts

Stevia – A Remarkable Herb

stevia plant

According to the Herb Research Foundation, numerous scientists, and tens of millions of consumers throughout the world, especially in Japan, the herb is safe and intensely sweet, which could make it a popular noncaloric sweetener.”
Rob McCaleb, president, Herb Research Foundation, Boulder, Colo., USA

…as a scientist with over 15 years researching the safety of stevia and of many other plants used as food or food ingredients, I can assure that our conclusions in these various studies indicate that stevia is safe for human consumption as per intended usage, that is, as a sweetener.”
Mauro Alvarez, Ph.D., Brazil

The petition cites over 120 articles about stevia written before 1958, and over 900 articles published to date. In this well-chronicled history of stevia, no author has ever reported any adverse human health consequences associated with consumption of stevia leaf.”
Supplement to GRAS affirmation petition no. 4G0406, submitted by the Thomas J. Lipton Company February 3, 1995
